Innovations for the façade lifecycle

2 façade innovations, 1 goal – improved sustainability in the façade industry

Our R&D activities are fundamental to enabling us to meet the changing needs of our clients and society. We focus on making long-term commitments that will lead to a more sustainable future.

With the use of cutting-edge technologies and over two decades of experience, our designs create and install industry-leading façades in a number of European markets. We are creating meaningful building envelope and maintenance solutions with the help of the research and development project Staticus Care. Our goal is to reduce the façade’s carbon footprint by up to 65% and improve the life cycle management of the façade elements by incorporating IoT sensors and replacing aluminium systems with timber.

Internet of Things (IoT) sensors in façades

Staticus’ R&D team is exploring ways to integrate Internet of Things (IoT) technology in façades with the goal of enhancing building performance, and reducing maintenance costs.

A next-generation sustainable façade

We have developed an innovative hybrid unitized façade (HUF) system that replaces high-carbon materials with low-carbon alternatives like timber. Our HUF can achieve an up to 65% reduction in embodied CO2 compared to a standard aluminium unitized façade and offers improved thermal performance.
