Meet Kristian, our new CGO who believes “growth comes from alignment”

Kristian Kaas Mortensen, Chief Growth Officer

As Chief Growth Officer, my role is to drive and accelerate Staticus’ expansion, ensuring we continue our strong trajectory towards becoming a €250M+ company. This means enhancing our sales strategy, strengthening client relationships, and acting on new growth opportunities.

While it has clear objectives, I see this as an evolving position. I plan to shape this role in close collaboration with the leadership team, and through a deep understanding of our unique strengths. There will certainly be a strong focus on client value. I am joining Staticus from the logistics industry, where long-term partnerships are fundamentally important. The same is true in construction, and understanding how we nurture relationships to bring long-term value for our clients will be key.

Staticus stood out to me because of its strong vision and its ambitious targets. I am 100% signed up for this growth mission, and value the clear long-term strategy Staticus has in place, plus the use of tools like OKRs to measure our progress.

What truly drew me in, however, is the company’s culture. There is a strong sense of collaboration, a drive for excellence, and a willingness to challenge the status quo. The leadership team is hungry, and I have been very impressed by the collective focus on the future. And these qualities make Staticus not just a successful company, but a great place to work.

Finally,  I can see that Staticus is 100% internationally driven, and this is something I truly value. I have directly experienced Europe’s flourishing as a melting pot of different nationalities. I have lived and worked in the US and across Europe and held global roles.

Because of this experience, I am often asked about how to manage cultural differences. My answer is that these differences are getting less and less important. Customers want professional partners with proven project expertise. At Staticus, we can make our pan-European experience a competitive advantage as it can inform the way we approach projects and adapt to our customer’s buying experience.

I’m most excited about the opportunity to build on an already strong foundation and help to facilitate Staticus’ further growth. The company has an excellent track record, a talented team, and a clear growth path.

My role allows me to bring together strategy, execution, and business development to unlock new opportunities. In terms of finalising project contracts with our long-term partners, we have the technical expertise in place. I hope my experience in understanding client needs at the strategic level will support us in securing high-value agreements that create mutual benefits.

I’m also excited to be working for a company that is committed to innovation in the façade industry. The façade brings the “wow” factor to any building and is perhaps the most important subject in the entire construction industry. Nothing could be more exciting for us than being in this sector and taking pride in the finalised buildings we play such an important role in creating.

The façade industry is evolving rapidly, with increasing demand for sustainability, innovation, and integrated digital solutions. We are definitely well-positioned to capitalise on these trends.

So, I see major opportunities for us to strengthen our market presence, especially by leveraging technology to differentiate our product and service offerings. As always, deepening our long-term client relationships will be key to this process.

More generally, I am optimistic about the sector and its positive human impact. As large-scale urbanisation continues and inner city space is at a premium, there will always be demand for ways to modernise our office and apartment buildings. This is especially true in our largest cities, like London, Stockholm and Oslo, where Staticus already has a major presence.

On a personal level, I’m excited to challenge myself, contribute to a high-performing team, and make a lasting impact.

In my role as CGO, beyond delivering on the company’s growth targets, I want to foster a culture of collaboration within the sales, marketing and commercial teams. I believe that true growth comes from alignment – this means having shared goals and a customer-first approach. When we are working together on project bids worth tens of millions, the way we communicate and interact with each other has a significant impact on whether clients trust and feel confident in us. And when those inevitable bumps in the road occur, the more structured, transparent and focused we are, the better we will handle them.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, gardening, and spending quality time with family. Staying active is important to me, and I make a point of walking daily—not just to stay energized, but also to take in new ideas through podcasts. I’m passionate about lifelong learning, whether through mentoring, reading about industry trends, or exploring new areas of knowledge. Maintaining this balance between personal interests and professional growth keeps me engaged, curious, and always evolving.
