Orkla city, Oslo

ORKLA City, a large-scale office building, was designed with a focus on green technologies. More than 900 unitized façade elements have been installed, which are highly insulated and allow maximum interior daylight. In addition, approximately 2,700 sqm of Mullion-transom facades were delivered and assembled for the ground floor and cafeteria terrace façade, which has been equipped
with eyrise® B.V.® Dynamic Liquid Crystal Glasses. Excellent thermal performance of complete building envelope allowed Orkla House to be certified with a BREEAM-Nor Excellent rating with an A Energy marking. The solar cell integrated systems, in combination with the solar cells on the green roof, allow the building to produce its own energy and be even more sustainable.
