Hello, I’m Mangirdas, and I’m the Head of the Commercial Division here at Staticus. We’re one of the largest full-service façade contractors in Northern Europe. We’re looking for an Estimator to handle the detailed calculations that go into evaluating our standard-setting projects.
In this role, you’ll receive project details from our team and then delve deep into the project’s specifics. This means you will be liaising closely with suppliers and collaborating with internal stakeholders to find the most suitable solutions for complex technical challenges.
Your future role
- Project Analysis: Thoroughly review project details and specifications provided by the project team to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project scope and requirements.
- Solutions Collaboration: Collaborate closely with our Concept Design, Sales and Realisation teams to help develop conceptual solutions based on the project’s requirements and budget constraints.
- Cost Calculation: Utilise your strong mathematical and analytical skills to perform precise cost calculations and budget evaluations based on information obtained from suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Supplier Communication: Initiate and maintain effective communication with suppliers. This will include sending inquiries and engaging in discussions to collect detailed and accurate information related to materials, pricing, and lead times.
- Market Expertise: Leverage your market knowledge and keep up to date on industry trends in Western European construction markets in order to provide insights regarding cost-effective solutions and supplier options.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, supplier correspondence, and project-specific information for reference and reporting.
- Timely Delivery: Ensure that cost estimates are provided within established deadlines to support the Sales teams.
- Quality Assurance: Employ Agile principles to organise and coordinate the estimation process for specific projects, with a strong focus on maintaining rigorous quality assurance standards.
What do we expect from you?
- Experience in the Field: A minimum of 5 years of successful experience in the façade industry, demonstrating in-depth knowledge and understanding of various façade systems and their components.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in using one or more of the following programs: SchüCal, WICTOP, and/or ReynaPro. Knowledge of CostX is considered beneficial.
- An Engineering Background: Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and proven ability to read and analyse construction drawings and project specifications.
- Communication Skills: The ability to represent and translate technical information into clear and understandable terms for internal and external stakeholders in English (at least B2 level).
- Project Management Skills: The ability to manage projects effectively – including coordinating activities within Agile teams -adhering to project timelines, and ensuring that the deliverables meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.
