As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge façade solutions. From design and technical development to stakeholder cooperation and quality assurance, your knowledge will assist make the design concept a reality.
Your future role
- Design and Innovation: Continuously updating and enhancing Staticus’ façade systems database with technically accurate and cost-effective solutions that align with customer needs and company objectives, including reuse and modularity designs.
- Technical Development: Create detailed technical drawings, calculations, and specifications for façade systems, ensuring alignment with local regulations and industry standards.
- Documentation and Quality Assurance: Preparing precise technical documentation, including material specifications, drawings, and submissions, adhering to project requirements and standards through rigorous self-checks and the use of quality assurance measures.
- Process Improvement: Stay informed on production capabilities, industry advancements, and emerging technologies to align technical solutions with company strategies, tools and innovations.
- Collaboration:Working closely with architects, consultants, engineers, and project managers to integrate façade systems seamlessly into projects.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Participating in external design meetings, representing the company on technical matters, and fostering effective communication with suppliers and clients.
- Task Management: Efficiently execute assigned tasks, ensuring clarity on timelines and requirements: log issues, track hours, and deliver high-quality results within project constraints.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Identify risks and opportunities in project specifications, ensuring technical solutions prioritise safety, functionality, and value.
What do we expect from you?
- Educational Background: A degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in façade systems or façade engineering, with proven expertise in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of facade systems and products across multiple structural types, including those developed internally and by external suppliers, such as aluminium and gasket design, extrusion, injection moulding, and material selection for durability and performance.
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in AutoCAD and advanced 3D modelling software such as SolidWorks and Inventor is necessary, along with experience in parametric modelling. Familiarity with Robot, Mepla, Flixo, and Insul software and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications is preferred, along with the ability to quickly learn new tools.
- Design and Quality Standards: Proven ability to create high-quality technical documentation aligned with building codes, technical standards, and project requirements.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication in English (at least C1 level) skills are essential for this role, including the ability to present complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences such as architects, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
