Staticus, one of the largest facade engineering contractors in Northern Europe, providing design, production and installation services, strengthens cooperation with Kaunas University of Technology, a leading Lithuanian university providing a wide range of studies and closely cooperating with business. This time – to encourage students of the country to choose engineering studies while still at school.
Staticusrepresentatives have been involved in the KTU Centre for Smart Cities and Infrastructure’s international project “D.E.C. Lithuania” which is attended by students from KTU Engineering Lyceum, Panevėžys Juozas Balčikonis Gymnasium, and Vilniaus Žemynos Gymnasium. The main task for participants of the project is to design, engineer, and construct a hotel for the famous superagent 007 James Bond.
Throughout the year, dozens of TOP students, with the help of information technology, technology, drawing and art, theater teachers and consultants from KTU lecturers will learn the secrets of smart construction, teamwork skills, visit construction and architecture companies. Next spring, participants of the project “D.E.C. Lithuania” will visit Staticus.
On spring, the future design engineers will land the result of their creativity – the underground hotel for the agent 007. And this hotel will be quite exceptional as it will be designed into the out-of-use subway station.
