We are proud to announce that Staticus will be represented at Performance-Based Façade Design (PBFD) 2025, one of the façade industry’s leading international conferences. Taking place in Venice from September 11–13, this year’s edition will once again bring together pioneers from across the globe to explore how innovation, sustainability, and performance are shaping the future of façade design.
As part of the “Technology Meets Nature” seminar on September 11th, Laura Craft, Staticus’ Head of Sustainability, will take the stage to highlight how combining natural materials with advanced technologies can create more sustainable and adaptable building envelope solutions.
Her presentation, “Smart Technology and Biobased Innovation in Next-generation Timber Façades”, will spotlight Staticus’ cutting-edge work with bio-based, digitally integrated façade systems. At the core of her talk is the Hybrid Unitised Façade (HUF) — a pioneering solution that replaces conventional aluminium with engineered timber, reducing embodied carbon by up to 65% without compromising on performance or design flexibility.

PBFD 2025 will open with a keynote by Michele Pasca di Magliano, Director at Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA). Michele brings two decades of experience leading high-rise, masterplanning, and cultural projects, including the Porta Est Masterplan in Naples and the Singapore New Science Centre. His keynote will provide a compelling perspective on architecture’s evolving role in sustainable urban transformation.
