Staticus has officially started construction of its new factory in Vilnius, marking the first phase of the company’s wider Campus Staticus investment programme.
On 17 September, 2026, colleagues gathered at the Staticus production site in Vilnius for a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony. The milestone follows the recent announcement that Staticus Group’s €31.5 million investment has been granted large-scale investment project status by Lithuania’s Ministry of the Economy and Innovation.
Construction works are underway
The ceremony marked a significant moment after several years of planning. Demolition of the old factory began earlier in September, and work has now moved to the construction stage, with the first piles already being installed.
Staticus Group CEO Aušra Vankevičiūtė and company founder Vytautas Vankevičius opened the ceremony, sharing the story behind the factory, how the plans have evolved over the years, and what comes next for Staticus.
To mark the start of construction, Audrius Orlovas, Project Manager responsible for the factory construction and the future Campus Staticus, placed a symbolic capsule on site.
Increasing production capacity and efficiency
The new 2,211 m² factory will provide additional production area and enable Staticus to expand its manufacturing capabilities to a new generation of products.
As part of this first phase, Staticus plans to introduce two semi-automated product assembly lines supported by an autonomous mobile robot (AMR). The new technology will help streamline internal logistics and assembly processes, increasing both production capacity and efficiency.
This first phase represents around 30% of the total planned investment in Campus Staticus.
The first step towards Campus Staticus
The new factory forms part of a much broader investment in the development of Staticus’ production and engineering capabilities in Lithuania.
The full Campus Staticus programme includes a new production complex with an integrated façade testing laboratory, automated manufacturing facilities, process robotisation and an integrated ERP system. The investment will also enable Staticus to manufacture more products in-house in Lithuania, including next-generation hybrid timber-aluminium façade.
The wider €31.5 million project is planned to continue until 2031 and will create at least 24 highly qualified roles in areas including façade testing, engineering, automation, robotics, R&D, BIM and IT. At least 90% of the production generated by the new capacity is expected to be exported to Staticus’ core markets in the UK, Scandinavia and Central Europe.
With the first piles now in the ground, Campus Staticus is moving from plans into reality – beginning with a new factory that will expand the way we manufacture and prepare Staticus for the next stage of growth.
